Since the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in 1990, individuals with disabilities have become more visible in the community. The ADA is a federal civil rights law requiring just and equal status, responsibility, and benefits to individuals with disabilities in our society. DCAB advocates for and promotes the full inclusion of individuals with disabilities in Hawaii.
